Margaret Capon - Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy
Diploma in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy (DSFH)
“I help my clients to focus on the outcome they want, rather than the issues and problems that brought them to see me. I focus on the present and the future, without any need to visit the past or to relive times of trauma. This approach is underpinned by up-to-date research in the fields of psychology, neuroscience, and brain-based therapies.
I trained at the Clifton Practice in Bristol and have a Diploma in Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy”
Solution-focused hypnotherapy can be very helpful for those seeking relief from a range of problems. It is used alongside a person’s own willpower and motivation to seek desired goals. It is a brief therapy, and the client can expect to have between 6 and 8 sessions, although fewer or more might be appropriate. The initial session is free.
Hypnotherapy is useful in the treatment of anxiety and the development of better sleeping patterns. It can address attitudes to weight, help to alleviate phobias and fears, and can help clients to quit smoking. It can be used alongside treatment to alleviate physical conditions such as IBS and skin conditions where these are made worse by stress.
Hypnotherapy has been successfully used to enhance performance, whether that is in competitive sport, taking a driving test, public speaking, or “stage fright”
It can be used to help a client conquer phobias and fears and has been widely used with young people and adolescents to help to alleviate a range of problems such as school phobia, anxiety over exams, fears about public speaking or giving presentations in front of an audience
