Reflexology and Massage
Reflexology
Reflexology uses the feet as a map of the body, applying pressure to reflex points to retune the whole body. Deeply relaxing, it eliminates toxins, improves circulation and activates the body's self healing. Reflexology has been shown to be effective in treating many conditions, including: headaches, sinus problems, hormonal imbalances and PMT, breathing disorders, neck and back pain, tension and stress.
Reflexology is an invaluable palliative care and is suitable for healthy people also as it helps to detox the system and boost immune system; it is suitable for any age.
Holistic Massage
The origins of massage are routed in the common instinctual response to hold and rub a hurt or pain. Massage relieves muscular aches/pains and promotes total relaxation. It stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste. Regular massage can help prevent unnecessary strains and injuries that might otherwise occur due to excess tension and any resulting structural weakness. Massage can stimulate or calm the nervous system, depending upon what is required by the individual and thus help fatigue, leaving the receiver with a feeling of replenished energy.
At its best, massage has the potential to restore the individual physically, mentally and spiritually.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage takes place seated and involves working the upper back, shoulders, neck and scalp. A variety of massage movements are used to relieve accumulated tension, stimulate circulation and relieve stress.
There are many benefits including: relief from sinusitis, eyestrain, tension, headaches, migraines, insomnia and disturbed sleep. It promotes clear thinking and a sense of peace and tranquillity.
Thermal Auricular Therapy
Ear candling is a gentle, relaxing therapy. The treatment includes a facial massage and it can help with sinusitis, rhinitis, compacted earwax, earache and irritation of the ears including tinnitus. It is also suitable for headaches, migraines and colds. It is not suitable for those with perforated eardrums, where grommets are in place or those who may have an allergy to the ingredients. It is safe and gentle for children.
